The brain at work and in art

For three days, MADART Gallery, on the fourth floor of the former Metz & Co building on Leidsestraat, is the largest hub of the GLUE programme. Design, art and architecture come together there. Right at that intersection, Martijn den Otter delivers a keynote on Thursday 17 September that brings two Neurofactor studies together: the neuro office and how the brain experiences art.

How do you create a working environment in which the brain performs at its best? Neurofactor developed the world's first neuro office and shows what that approach delivers. The keynote also covers our research into art and art perception, from the EEG measurements of Girl with a Pearl Earring at the Mauritshuis to our follow-up studies into how the brain responds to art.

The common thread: when you look at the right things, you can predict responses to art. You know how people will react and which art works better in which space.
